Since launching in 2017, the Polar Cloud has empowered thousands of students, educators, and makers to connect, control, and collaborate on 3D printing from anywhere in the world. Today, we’re thrilled to unveil the biggest UI update in Polar Cloud history—a complete redesign that makes your experience faster, clearer, and more powerful than ever before.

✨ Why the Redesign?

The original Polar Cloud interface has served us well for over 7 years—but a lot has changed. With more schools joining, more powerful printers hitting the market, and more people using the platform from tablets, Chromebooks, and mobile devices, we knew it was time for a fresh start.

This update isn’t just a facelift—it’s a rethinking of how people interact with Polar Cloud every day.

🧭 What’s New?

🔹 A Cleaner, Simpler Dashboard

We’ve redesigned the dashboard from the ground up to help you focus on what matters: your objects, printers, and jobs. Whether you’re managing one printer or fifty, you’ll now get a clear overview the moment you log in.

🔹 Streamlined Navigation

A new left-hand sidebar groups everything you need—Objects, Printers, Jobs, and Help—into a clean, intuitive menu. For educators and students, the Join a School button is always just a click away.

🔹 Smarter Onboarding

First-time users now get a step-by-step guide to help them upload objects, connect a printer, and start their first print—right from the browser. (Spoiler: it’s easier than ever.)

🔹 Responsive and Mobile-Friendly

We’ve optimized every screen to look and work beautifully on desktops, Chromebooks, tablets, and phones—so you can manage prints from anywhere, on any device.

🔹 Improved Permissions and Groups

Educators will love the upgraded group and permission system, making it easier to organize students, review print requests, and track usage—all while keeping things secure and classroom-ready.

🧑‍🏫 Built for Schools, Perfect for Everyone

While this redesign was inspired by the needs of K-12 educators and students, every Polar Cloud user benefits from the new experience. Whether you’re running a school makerspace, managing a district-wide print farm, or just printing your latest design at home—you’ll feel the difference immediately.

🤝 Our Promise to You

This redesign is a milestone—but it’s not the finish line. At Polar Cloud, we’re committed to continuously improving the platform to make it the easiest, most reliable, and most powerful 3D printing cloud experience on the internet.

That means:
• Listening closely to your feedback
• Prioritizing usability for both beginners and pros
• Building tools that work everywhere—on any device, from anywhere
• Supporting the evolving needs of classrooms, makerspaces, and remote teams
• Pushing the boundaries of what cloud-based 3D printing can do

We believe 3D printing should be simple, accessible, and inspiring—and we’re here to make that a reality, every day.

🙌 Thank You

We’re incredibly grateful to the teachers, students, makers, and partners who’ve helped shape Polar Cloud into what it is today. This redesign is for you—and we can’t wait to see what you create with it.

Stay tuned, and as always—happy printing!
