3D Printer Sideways on "The Price Is Right"

This one made me laugh a bit, so I wanted to share it with you all.

During a recent episode of The Price Is Right, a Prusa Core One 3D printer was featured as a prize. There was just one small detail: it was displayed on its side, rather than standing upright as it’s designed to be used.

At first glance, it’s easy to miss. It makes you wonder if they were displaying it so that the branding "PRUSA" and "CORE ONE" could be read. Still, it’s a quietly funny reminder of how specialized tools can look perfectly normal to a general audience, even when they’re almost upside down.

What this really highlights is how mainstream 3D printing has become. These machines are now common enough to appear as game show prizes, even if not everyone involved knows exactly how they’re supposed to sit. For those of us who work with printers every day, it’s a small, harmless moment of “wait a second…” recognition.

Sometimes the best tech humor isn’t a joke at all. It’s just a printer, minding its own business, rotated ninety degrees on national television.
