Which printers does the Agent support?

The Agent supports Bambu Lab printers, including popular models like the X1C and P1P. It connects to them through the official Bambu SDK, so compatibility tracks Bambu Lab’s own supported hardware.

What do I need to run it?

A Windows PC on the same network as your Bambu Lab printers, plus a free Polar Cloud account. The Agent runs quietly in the background — many schools and labs run it on the same PC that drives their lab.

How is this different from the Polar3D Bridge?

The Agent is purpose-built for Bambu Lab and uses the official Bambu SDK on Windows. The Polar3D Bridge is our cross-platform option: it runs on Mac, Windows, or Linux and also supports Prusa printers via MQTT and other local connection options.

Does it cost anything?

No — the Agent is free to download and use with your Polar Cloud account.

Bambu Lab Fleet Hub

No Access Codes. No Developer Mode.

If your printers sit behind a Bambu Lab Fleet Hub, the Agent talks to the Hub instead of to each printer — and the per-printer setup that usually eats an IT afternoon disappears.

Architecture diagram: Bambu Lab printers connect to the Fleet Hub over MQTTS and mTLS. The Polar3D Agent, running on an always-on Windows PC, reaches the Hub over a local REST API on port 8888. Printers, Hub, and Agent all sit on premise; the Agent makes the only connection that leaves the network, outbound to polar3d.com. The Fleet Hub itself needs no outbound internet access.
