# Polar Cloud

> Polar Cloud (polar3d.com) is a cloud platform for managing 3D printers. It gives makers, K-12 schools, universities, libraries, print farms and enterprises one dashboard to upload or generate models, slice in the cloud, queue and approve prints, monitor printers live, and report on usage across a fleet.

Polar Cloud is published by Polar 3D. The web app works in any browser (including Chromebooks and iPads) and ships companion apps for iOS, Android, Windows, macOS and Linux. A free plan exists for individual makers; Premium, School and Enterprise plans are listed on the pricing page.

## What it does

- Cloud slicing: upload STL, OBJ or 3MF files and slice to G-code in the browser, no desktop slicer required.
- Print queues: students or team members submit jobs; teachers or admins approve, prioritise and route them to printers.
- Live monitoring: watch prints over webcam, pause or cancel remotely, get notifications.
- AI model generation: turn a 2D image into a printable 3D model.
- Object library: a shared, searchable library of models, plus a public community gallery.
- Fleet management: multi-printer dashboards, filament and usage tracking, and reporting for labs and print farms.
- Printer connectivity: native support for Bambu Lab printers via the Polar Cloud Bambu Agent, the Polar Cloud Bridge for USB and network printers, an OctoPrint plugin, a Moonraker/Klipper plugin, and factory-integrated printers from manufacturers such as FlashForge, Ultimaker, Dremel and Robo 3D.
- Education features: student accounts, classroom rosters with ClassLink sync, approval workflows and privacy-compliant (FERPA-aware) data handling.
